The crew behind each field plan
Laser weeding asks for clean timing and steady field judgement. Our team works around crop stage, weed pressure and row spacing, then plans the pass so the tractor-drawn unit stays useful in the field and near the crop.
Mandla Adonis leads the business from our Philippi, Cape Town base. He keeps the service grounded in farm realities, from trial strip runs to season bookings, and he stays close to the practical side of grower work in the Western Cape and beyond.
Mandla Adonis on the bigger picture
Mandla Adonis oversees the way the service is set up for growers who need herbicide-free weed control without disturbing soil. His role ties together crop timing plans, travel coordination and the moving parts of a multi farm programme.
- Sets the direction for contract laser weeding work
- Guides field access, planning and crop timing
- Keeps the team focused on farm-level detail
Anele Khoza keeps operations tight
Anele Khoza handles operations with a close eye on field conditions, access routes and the order of work across sites. That matters when a programme runs across vegetables such as onions, carrots, lettuce and brassicas, where the timing of each pass can shift with weed stage and crop growth.
She works with the rest of the team to line up field assessments, arrival site checks and post pass reporting. The goal is practical coordination, not paperwork for its own sake.
Pieter Mokoena plans the field movement
Pieter Mokoena leads field scheduling for growers across the Western Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State. He works through travel windows, block order and repeat pass planning so each farm site fits into a workable route.
- Schedules single farms and multi farm programmes
- Lines up seasonal work with crop stage
- Coordinates movement between regions and branches
Johan Daniels in the operator seat
Johan Daniels is the lead operator and spends his time where the field work happens. He runs the tractor-drawn laser unit with attention to row crops, weed size and plant spacing, because a field that looks similar from the road can behave very differently once the machine is in it.
His work depends on reading the crop and keeping the machine moving at a field speed that suits the weed pressure. That balance changes from one block to the next, especially when weeds have moved past the early stage.
Zanele, Lerato and Ruan keep the service moving
Zanele Naidoo handles grower liaison and keeps the conversation practical around field assessments, crop timing plans and consultation. She helps growers share the details that matter, such as crop type, hectares, weed pressure and whether the next pass should be a trial strip or a full block.
Lerato Letsoalo manages service coordination and keeps bookings, site notes and travel details in order. Ruan Mkhabela supervises the workshop side, looking after the equipment that supports the tractor-drawn unit, the fittings and the day-to-day checks that keep the machine ready for work.
- Zanele connects the grower brief to the field plan
- Lerato keeps the service schedule organised
- Ruan oversees workshop prep and equipment checks
How the team fits the farms we serve
Our team works across Philippi, Ceres, Grabouw, Tzaneen, Bela-Bela, Nelspruit, Howick and Bethlehem, with the Philippi base anchoring the service. The farms differ, the weather shifts and coastal humidity can change field conditions, so the team keeps the plan close to the crop rather than to a fixed script.
That is why our contact form asks for the farm basics first. A clear brief helps the team match the field assessment, trial strip runs, repeat pass planning or full season bookings to the crop and the season at hand.
